Contributor Terms
Version 2026-10-30-draft. These terms are a draft pending legal review and may change; each contribution records the version that was accepted.
These terms apply when you send a contribution to the Student Housing Playbook on StudentHousingSuppliers.com ("we").
1. You keep ownership
You keep all ownership of what you contribute. Nothing here transfers your copyright or other rights to us.
2. Permission you give us
You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to review, edit for clarity and length, publish, display, and share your contribution on StudentHousingSuppliers.com and in channels that promote it (such as our newsletter and LinkedIn), with credit as you chose. Because the permission is non-exclusive, you remain free to use your contribution anywhere else.
3. Your promises
You confirm that you wrote the contribution or otherwise have the rights and authority to share it, including any part owned by your employer or a third party; that it doesn't include confidential information you aren't allowed to share or personal information about residents or others; and that, to your knowledge, it is accurate.
4. Review and edits
Every contribution is reviewed before publication, and we may decline to publish it. We may make minor edits for clarity, length and style. We will ask for your approval before making substantive changes to your meaning.
5. Credit
We credit you by name (and organization, if given) or anonymously, as you chose. Relevant commercial affiliations you disclose are shown with the published piece. Your email address is never published.
6. Removal
You can ask us to remove a published contribution at any time by using the correction form or replying to our emails; we will remove it within a reasonable time. Copies already shared by others may remain.
7. No payment
Contributions are voluntary and unpaid. The Playbook is free to read and free to contribute to.
