How pricing usually works
- Projects are often priced as a fixed bid, cost plus a fee, or a guaranteed maximum price.
- Bids usually separate labor, materials, allowances and general conditions.
- Change orders, permit fees and unforeseen conditions are often extra.
- Payment is typically made in progress installments, sometimes with a portion held until completion.
